Every single Judge, State Prosecutor, police officer, Obgyn, and counselor across the nation should read this book – as soon as possible; not later. It is imperative education because this reality usually goes unspoken – due to its horror, no guarantee of safety for the victim and family if they tell, and people’s reluctance to focus on something so horrid they just can not imagine it could be true. Validation from professionals is critical for any healing of the victim/s.
Alan Johnson, bless his soul and tenacity, has provided the world a well written account that pulls the reader right into the unthinkable nightmare that domestic violence and/or sexual abuse is for survivors. A must read, time is of the essence to be an educated population. Many thanks and bravo!
